FORUM OF SENIOR LIFE SCIENCE STUDENTS
Vijaya college, located in R.V. Road, Basavanagudi, Bengaluru-04, is one of the oldest and the most prestigious colleges in South Bengaluru. It was started in the mid 1940s by a group of eminent and enthusiastic educationists. Initially it was only an intermediate college, offering only undergraduate courses. Later, it developed as a degree college by adding degree courses in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Owing to popular demand, degree courses were started in life Science subjects- chemistry, Botany and Zoology, in the year 1968.
First Batch
The first batch of CBZ students passed out successfully in the year 1971. Since then, till now 47 batches of Life science students have passed out from the college. The alumni of life sciences from Vijaya college, have excelled themselves in all fields, from education to entertainment, from public life to politics or from civil service to social service. They have occupied top posts in every field, including entrepreneurship.
Life Science Students
In order to reach the old students of the college from the life sciences streams, an alumni association has been formed under the name and style of “ Jeeva Vijaya”. The first meeting of alumni was held in the college, on 6th January 2016. This website created as per the decision of that general Body, is an effort to reach all the Life Science old students of Vijaya College, from the very first batch of 1971. It is earnestly hoped that you strengthen “ Jeeva Vijaya” by becoming a member and by intimating your batchmates to do the same.
